Low Threshold MOUD Programs
The Department is seeking applications for the infrastructure planning and development for a variety of Low Threshold Buprenorphine Induction (Low Threshold) programs. Buprenorphine has been shown to be a safe and effective medication in multiple settings with extensive research on both unobserved induction and physician-observed induction. Low threshold programs are designed to reduce barriers to medications for opioid use disorder, in this case buprenorphine specifically, by making minimal requirements of patients and offering same day, immediate enrollment in buprenorphine treatment and wraparound case management/recovery support services.
